Development of a General Purpose Eco-Driving tool
For several years, DSS has worked on developing tools for eco-driving and driver coaching. To help with the development of our latest module, a low-entry, general purpose training tool for truck drivers, we are looking for a motivated student with affinity for software development. The goal of the internship will be to help develop a PC-based application to capture eco-driving parameters from a simulated environment and present these results as intuitive post-trip feedback.
The ideal candidate is a student in the field of ICT or software engineering who has experience in, or wants to learn more about:
– C# (.NET) programming
– Data visualization
– UI development

Development of traffic simulation in Unity
DSS works with several Universities, companies and public organizations for the development of realistic driving, and cycling scenarios. To kickstart the enhancement of our traffic simulation modules, we are looking for a student game design or with experience in 3D development. The goal of the internship will be to create a showcase scenario that includes several realistic objects (both in behavior and visuals).
The ideal candidate is a student Game Development, or wants hands-on experience with:
– Unity Game Engine
– C# (.NET) programming
– Driving and bicycle simulation
– AI scripting
