EcoDriving OM is a plugin module for STISIM Drive 3 simulator software. The purpose of the module is to provide feedback about fuel efficiency and how this is affected by driving style and vehicle characteristics (i.e. Tire Pressure, vehicle weight…). The module is able to present information such as instantaneous fuel consumption in real time. During the simulation run, data is continuously logged, which can be used to generate a comprehensive report or visualization at the end of the run. A set of scripts to automatically visualize the results is included with the software. EcoDriving OM is an ideal tool for use in training where it could complement theoretical training with hands-on experience in the driving simulator, allowing for rapid quantification of fuel savings or comparison of driving styles.
